If you’re looking for a skin for your iPad that has a good balance between protection and beauty, StealthArmor may be your best bet. We received one of the skin (Brushed Metal) for review and the company was generous enough to laser engrave our logo on it.

Included in the box is a squeegee, actual armor, application spray, instructions, and optional screen protector if you purchased it.

Installation of the back armor was surprisingly a breeze compared to other similar application process like the  invisibleSHIELD™ that requires the squeegeeing of bubbles. Simply spray the adhesive side of the armor with the fluid getting it wet enough to align/fix and squeegee out the bubbles. The entire installation of the armor took less than 10 minutes and the outcome is pretty darn good I must say.

Sent our way a while ago for review is the Amzer iPad Soft Case, it’s a pretty standard rubber case that fits the iPad tightly and has cutouts for all the ports and access to the buttons. It even has a viewing window on the back for the apple logo. The texture of the case is just like any other rubber cases out there, which is great if your iPad is always slipping off your hand and shock absorption from drops of course. All around an affordable case that does what the other more expensive cases offer.

Known for their high quality cases and sleeves, Speck is offering several stylish accessories available now for the iPad. One of the iPad Speck accessory we had the pleasure of reviewing is the PixelShield.

It’s both a carry case and protective sleeve if you will. It’s made specially for the iPad, making it a snap to slide in the iPad. Like the name suggests there are pixel squares covering all over the exterior of the sleeve which is comfortable to the touch. And the interior is “lined with really soft micro-fleece.”

It’s made of neoprene, with a flexible yet harder plastic shield layer in the back, to protect the iPad screen. The inside is lined with really soft micro-fleece.

One of the cool features that makes the PixelShield different from the other iPad sleeves is that one of the sides of the sleeve has a”reinforced” layer that keeps the iPad screen safe. And also, the carry handle doesn’t stretch too much, which is a good thing.

The carry case/protective sleeve comes in black or red, and it’s priced at $39.95. We give the PixelShield 4.5/5.

If you’ve been to eBay searching for “iPad” lately, then surely you’ve seen the countless listings of non-branded iPad cases. And obviously the factories that produces these cases has an iPad in hand to create the mold. Right now, you can grab yourself either a soft silicone or hard iPad case.

We went on eBay and got one of the soft kinds for under $10 (Shipping included) to check out. At first glance, the case has all the right cutouts for the buttons and ports, a hole for the Apple logo on the back of the iPad, and it’s mind-blowingly thin, we can just imagine how thin the actual device is. It goes without saying that these cases are not top quality but it does the job of protecting the iPad.

At this point, there are 3 different kind of designs of iPad cases on eBay. There’s the one we purchased. Then there’s the other design that covers the Apple logo on the back, and the front of the case goes cover the bezel more, hugging the home button as shown in the image below.

And the third design also covers the Apple logo, but  just barely grips on the side of the iPad.

A tipster of TUAW has leaked several shots of the Best Buy sales playbook for the iPad. According to the internal memo, there will be a limited of 15 iPads (5 of each WiFi Models) shipped on April 2nd to one of the 670+ Best Buy stores that will be carrying the iPad on launch day. And these Best Buy locations are expected to receive another shipment of 15 iPads after the first for sale on the 11th.

The leaked shots also confirms that Best buy will not be offering the iPad online and that the physicals stores will be stocking up on the iPad accessories.

For those who pre-ordered the iPad keyboard dock, 10W USB power adapter and/or the official iPad case, there will be a delay in the ship date for these 3 particular iPad accessories.

The $69 keyboard dock and the $29 USB power adapter that was originally scheduled for a April launch has been pushed back to ‘sometime’ in May. And as for the the iPad Case, which was suppose to start shipping on April 3rd along with the WiFi iPads, has been delayed to mid-April.

As of now, the iPad Dock and dock connector to VGA adapter is still on track for the April 3 release.

New Button on the iPad: Screen Orientation Lock

Apple has exchanged what used to be the mute button on the iPad to a new button called “Screen Orientation Lock”. So you can lock the iPad screen in either portrait or landscape mode.

Apple Submits iPad to the FCC

Like with most of Apple’s FCC fillings, FCC revealed nothing on the iPad before the pre-orders started yesterday.

Model A1337 or also known as the iPad was tested by FCC and spotted to carry WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth and the 3G Models will run on AT&T, GSM 850/1900 and UMTS 850/1900.

3G iPads are slightly larger

We know that the 3G version of iPad is 0.1 pound heavier than the WiFi-only iPad, but Interestingly enough, the FCC filling reveals that the 3G iPad is also 0.3mm taller and 0.1mm wider.

AppleCare for their iPad protection plan extends only to 2 years like the iPhone and iPod.

Limited iPad pre-orders and pickup time

Apple has limited iPad pre-orders to 2 per customer. Customers can pick up their iPad at 9 am to 3 pm on April 3rd.

iBooks will be able to sync non-DRM ePub titles from iTunes.
